Who’s saying it’s dead? I saw a bunch of comments on the EIC article, but nothing in the article itself.

EDIT: this in in the article:

“Jalopnik has always been about the readers who come here every day, write comments, contribute to Oppo, get heated , etc. My biggest priority is maintaining that.”

I didn’t see it but a ccording to Stef’s comment the article has been edited without a note, so  I’m guess the phrasing used Oppo in the past tense.

It initially said “...contribute to Oppo (RIP), get heated, ....” The prevailing fear was that he was implying that Oppo would be dead soon.

Seems like those building the parallel Oppo universe might need to give us an update on how that project is going. IIRC they were taking their time due to life and also the Kinja universe staying alive.
